Gugudu is a historical place. A very unique place where Hindus and Muslims offer their prayers to Kullaya Swamy and Lord Hanuman. Muharam is a festival highly celebrated at Gugudu, to offer their worships people come from different states. Historical story behind Gugudu is: At this place lived a saint named Guhudu, after Lord Sri Rama killed Ravana, Lord Hanuma carrying Rama and Sita on his shoulders back to Ayodhya. On their way back to Ayodha Lord Rama asked Hanuma to stop for a while at Saint Guhudu Ashram. After staying for a while Lord Rama, Sita and Hanuma felt highly spiritual and peaceful vibrations at Guhudu Ashram. All of them started meditating at Guhudu Ashram for longer periods because of its peaceful environment. After that Lord Rama blessed Guhudu and returned back to Ayodhya. Later, after years Guhudu Ashram has become Village Gugudu. Kullaya Swamy is avatar of Lord Venkateswara.
